I was in Fresh Slice Pizza restaurant at the Commercial Drive location, Vancouver. Ordered 1 slice and french fries. I did a quick calculation in my head as to what the total order would be. I paid using my debit card, but the actual requested by the cashier was more. I looked at the debit card receipt, and unbeknownst to me, the cashier charged an extra 30 cents. I asked her why. She said it was to pay for Interac debit card fees. Yeah, this is a small amount, but the point is is that there was no signage by the cashier stating this. Moreover, the cashier didn't even say anything. Nada. I told her that they should at least tell the customer first before they charge the extra for the fee. She said "sorry" and shrugged her shoulders.
There ought to be a law against adding on fees without telling the customer first.
There's this Japanese restaurant in Vancouver, the name is "Miyagi" restaurant I think. Anyways, it's a small restaurant on the east side of Main Street , south of Josephine's Restaurant.
I have been going there with the wife and kids at least once every 2 weeks for dinner.
I tell you...it's the most friendliest place to go. It's owned by a husband-and-wife. The husband is the chef. The wife is the best host and waitress. She always asks the right questions...about family, what's the latest news from the last time we spoke... She remembers our preferences , like the delicious Spinach salad with the home-made sesame sauce. The prices are very reasonable. You'll have better food and a better time there than at McDonalds...cheaper than McDonald's when with a group!! They also sometimes provide complimentary treats: ice-cream, Miso soup, etc. Really, it's like you go to a friend's house for dinner. I highly recommend Miyagi restaurant !
Our city got its first snowfall last week. Since then, I've helped "push" all kinds of cars and trucks out of their slippery ruts maybe 4 or 5 times. They were stuck halfway up a hill, in the parking lot, on the curb at work, yada yada. (Yeah, I'm such a nice person). But you know what? All of them had summer tires!! Sheesh! It's not that I'm all annoyed about me getting involved and helping to push them out...it's just that these cars could be potential risk factors for accidents that can harm people. What if they go out of control - while driving or even while trying to safely stop at a stop sign? They could hit innocent pedestrians - like children playing outside or even other innocent drivers. Man oh man...don't be stupid, guys! If you can't afford the tires, take the taxi or public transportation!

TAHITIAN NONI INTERNATIONAL ANSWERS WORLDWIDE CALL FOR TSUNAMI RELIEF
Humanitarian Aid Is Already on the Way
PROVO, UTAH - Tahitian Noni International, developer and exclusive provider of the internationally acclaimed TAHITIAN NONI? Juice, recently announced that the worldwide call for assistance in the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Southeast Asia is being answered quickly and generously. Kelly Olsen, President of Tahitian Noni International, stated, ?We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and devastation caused by this recent disaster. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their families at this time of great loss, and we will do all that we can to help ease the tremendous burden and heartache they are currently facing. We have, and will continue to, donate generously to the ongoing relief efforts.?
When asked what Tahitian Noni International was doing specifically to help in the relief effort, Olsen explained, ?We are proud to be a generous donor to LDS Humanitarian Services, which was one of the first organizations on the ground in the area with relief in the way of food, water, and supplies. They are recognized worldwide for their quick response to disasters of all types. More than 70 tons of medical supplies, hygiene kits, clothing, and shoes are being flown to Indonesia to aid tsunami victims in a partnership effort by the Islamic Relief Worldwide and Humanitarian Services. As an interesting note, over 100 executives and employees of Tahitian Noni International spent time this Christmas putting together some of these same hygiene kits that will now benefit the people of Southeast Asia.?
Olsen continued, ?These shipments are part of a four-pronged response to relieve the suffering in southern Asia. Their first priority is to make an accurate assessment to match resources to needs. Secondly, immediate needs are being met by in-country purchases and air shipments of urgently needed supplies. A third prong of response will be to send containers of follow-up supplies by ship and other surface transportation. The fourth area of response will be to address the long-term needs.
?Not only have we donated generously to Humanitarian Services, but our offices in that area of the world are taking a major part in the relief effort as well. The day after the tsunami, our Thailand office purchased food and water to be distributed to those in need. They are donating their time for translation services for foreigners in hospitals and packing and preparing relief and hygiene packets. They are also offering lodging for families of victims. We are grateful for the sacrifices they are making and for the good that they are accomplishing.
?Finally, our Tahitian Noni International distributors worldwide are deeply concerned about how they can help those in need. We have been inundated with requests from our distributors to know how they can help. We know that thousands of them are already donating money to support the relief efforts. We hope that this amazing outpouring of goodwill will continue?not only with the current relief efforts, but with the tremendous rebuilding efforts that will be needed in the near future as well.

About the Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society that was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
The history of the Order shows how the foresight of Father Michael J. McGivney, whose cause for sainthood is being investigated by the Vatican, brought about what has become the world's foremost Catholic fraternal benefit society. The Order has helped families obtain economic security and stability through its life insurance, annuity and long-term care programs, and has contributed time and energy worldwide to service in communities.
The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 12,000 councils and 1.6 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan.

Wife Says Her Piece
A man yesterday was placed in the hospital for mild shock. He had just had an argument with his wife. "It all started when I told her how I would videotape me and our rental tenant lady doing the wild thing. Then I'd save the tape later for her and I to view just to get each other turned on....We always like to watch an erotic video just before making love.... The wife then said that I had a sick mind - and that she didn't appreciate it .
Yeah, thaz what I do. I help others make money...earn money. Earn being the operative word cause what they do is not easy. It takes hard work, just like any other type of work.
Like this guy named Bill Dunigan. My "business pardner". He's a horseman out in Maryland. An abosolute horse lover. In the equine industry for over 40 years. Loves teaching people about horses (like barrel racing or is it barrell racing?). Anyway, he himself has been in the World Barrel Racing Championships ( NBHA ). And, he has been helping his students and their horses to actually get to barrel racing championships ! He has done fox hunting, dressage and a bunch of other stuff with horses. I don't want to pretend to know about horses.
Anyway, I also help him to promote this great horse feed supplement called Equine Essentials (TM) from Tahitian Noni International. His link is here ; riderbill.blessedwinners.com .
Charmayne Jameswho has 11-world championships under her belt in this equine sport, swears by it...she says . "TAHITIAN NONI? Juice helped Cruiser and me win my 11th world title. Cruisers overall health and attitude improved on the juice. He was much more able to handle the stress that comes with rodeoing because of his improved appetite and the pain relieving qualities. TAHITIAN NONI? Equine Essentials? is a much better approach to your horses health and longevity no matter what kind of horse you have" she said.
So for all you equine peeps, horse lovers, veterinarians, horse vets, equine sport enthusiasts, etc, go visit Bill Dunigan and his Equine Essentials(TM) product here ; riderbill.blessedwinners.com . Can you imagine? Just the other day I got an email that was one of those 419 scams...you know, the email that has to do with some guy who has tonnes of money locked up in a bank, and for whatever strangest reason he cannot access the funds...so he emails you for help...blah blah blah, but here's the usual scam: you need to pay money that they call "fees" up front to access the funds. These scammers operate from their wacked reasoning that if you westerners are so greedy , then you deserve to be scammed. More here: 419.
Anyway, I got this email. but this time, a huge wacked twist: the guy cannot access the money because the tusnami damage is preventing him from accessing the funds! How wacked is this? Just how low can one get?
